The Light family have been historians for hundreds of years and own one of the grandest museums around. Unfortunately several years ago, a fire was started when some thieves broke in and stole the Sword of Valvic Mistbringer, the weapon of a famous paladin was said to have the power to absorb the powers of those that it kills.

The fire destroyed the original museum and many of its artefacts but also resulted in the death of the curator, Silver Light. Now his eldest daughter Carmella Light has taken over the family tradition, building a brand new museum while the younger sibling went into the world to try and recover the stolen sword.
